The client

Shams Merchant is a commercial real estate attorney in Dallas who has been active in real estate investment since 2020. He has advised on fund formations and syndications for private equity firms and helped sponsors with SEC compliance, including Form D and Form ADV filings. In 2026 he launched PointOne Partners, a private real estate investment fund platform.

The goal

A new fund entering the market needs to be findable and credible from day one — to sponsors, operators and investors checking who is behind it. The aim was a clear public announcement of PointOne Partners and what it offers.

What we did

We wrote the launch announcement around the platform's opening pipeline — Class A multifamily in Houston, a land fund for single-family housing in Dallas, a hotel redevelopment in Houston and student housing in Austin — and its flat-fee approach to structuring SEC-compliant offerings. Shams approved it, and we distributed it as a press release through ACCESS Newswire, where it runs on Yahoo Finance.

The result
